Spring has arrived on our doorsteps and I am off to Ibiza in a couple of weeks to take some time off, have a mini holiday and forget about city life. Whilst mulling over what to pack, it got me thinking about investing in some bright accessories that are a bit more unique than the norm. Here is what I found when doing my research on how to get that Bohemian vibe without breaking the bank. Hope you like what I found….
There are some really wicked bright beaded bags around that I want to invest in especially for my Ibiza trip and to carry me on through Summer. I think Aspiga have a really interesting story, all the bags are crafted by hand and hand made in developing countries. The company uses small factories who employ local men and women, giving much needed jobs and helping to fight poverty through trade. Liva Firth and Anna Friel, the eco Goddesses are fans of the bags and have been spotted FROW with their clutches by Aspiga. I especially like the pouch bag and I think it is a really good price point, all hand beaded only for £99.00, amazing! The elephant bag is super gorgeous too, so up my street in bright pink with that Indian vibe about it.
Both available HERE
I also adore Dana Levy’s evil eye collection of charm friendship bracelets for arm candy. She has been producing her bracelets for ages, way before everyone else jumped on the band wagon, so her collection comes with lots of expertise and craftsmanship. Her collections are so glam, have a spiritual message and come in so many bright colours with different charms, its like being a kid in a sweet shop not knowing which one to pick. They make the most perfect presents and are so affordable and unique.
The shoes I will be wearing on my feet are the Koi’s by David Kafri for Mulo Shoes. I have been involved with this collaboration closely since the beginning and its exciting to see these beautiful designs receive so much praise. They were in the Sunday Times Style Magazine last weekend as the shoes to Covet for Summer. The design by tattoo artist, David Kafri is simply stunning and they will look so perfect worn throughout Summer especially with brown feet. Talk about unique footwear! Boyfriend Jeans and slides are going to take on a whole new meaning with Kafri’s designs.
I love the Persian jewellery designer, Leila Kashanipour’s enamel collection . Her star necklace with all the bright primary colours is so unique and stylish. It is fun as well as being elegant at the same time. And for someone like me who loves colour and form, this ticks all the boxes. I really like the fact that she has been inspired by the Middle East’s geometric shapes and that her rings and bracelets are not dainty but strong and angular.
